These stories of Indian Gods doing lifting mountains and such are meant to be taken as symbolic and not literal. For example, God Hanuman's lifting of the mountain is meant to symbolize physical strength; an essential quality of Hindu philosophy.

The philosophy was told in a story form so it could be passed down from generation to generation. Interpreting it in a literal fashion shows you've done no homework to understand what the philosophy is about.
